BASICALLY, YES. WHILE THIS IS NOT IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE STUDENTS, IT IS WITHIN THE AUTHORITY OF ADMINISTRATION TO DO SO. IF THIS HAPPENS WE NEED TO ADDDRESS THE ISSUE WITH DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION, BUT THERE IS NOTHING IN THE CBA THAT PREVENTS THIS.
We have an issue with subs arriving late to school (not last minute calls to the system). Can they be docked pay?
THIS IS NOT AN FTA ISSUE.
WE CAN ALWAYS SPEAK WITH OUR UNION COLLEAGUES.
NOTHING THROUGH OUR CBA.
When a site decides to wave prep time, say for one day a week, could it “harm” the staff in any way?
I CAN’T IMAGINE HOW THIS WOULD BE POSSIBLE. ONLY IF THE NUMBER OF MEETINGS INCREASED; SAY YOU CHOSE TO HAVE 80 INDIVIDUAL HOUR-LONG MEETINGS INSTEAD OF USING THE 80-HOURS IN DAY LONG BLOCKS OF 8, COULD THIS IMPACT YOUR PREP TIME MORE SIGNIFICANTLY. THIS WOULD BE A DECISION THAT THE STAFF WOULD HAVE TO BE INCLUDED IN MAKING.
